By Car:
From A9 Nürnberg: Continue on Mittlerer Ring West (A99) towards “Lindau/Garmisch”.
From A8 Stuttgart: Leave the motorway (A8) and follow Mittlerer Ring West (A99) towards “Lindau/Garmisch”.
Take the A96 motorway towards “München Zentrum/Garmisch” and exit at “Gräfelfing” (36b). In Gräfelfing, follow the main road and turn left onto Würmtalstraße (towards Großhadern). After about 1.5 km, turn right onto Am Klopferspitz and follow the signs for “Max-Planck-Institute”.
From Salzburg or Garmisch: Drive to the “München-Fürstenried” exit and turn right towards Neuried. After 500 m, turn left onto “Neurieder Straße” and after just under 1 km, take Graubündener Straße on the right-hand side. After another 3 km, turn left onto Würmtalstraße (towards Großhadern). After about 1 km, turn left onto Am Klopferspitz and follow the signs for “Max-Planck-Institute”

By Public Transport:
From the Main Station: Take the U1 or U2 subway line to “Sendlinger Tor”, change to the U6 subway line to “Klinikum Großhadern” (last station). From there, either walk about 20 minutes or take the bus 266 (direction Planegg or Max-Planck-Institute) to the “Max-Planck-Institute” stop.
Alternatively you can take bus number 266 from Heimeranplatz directly to the “Max-Planck-Institute” stop.
